- Contact and job details: your name, phone number, email address, postcode and property address, and details of the work you need.
- Photos: any photos you upload through our quote form or send to us.
- Phone calls: we use call tracking phone numbers so we can see which adverts and web pages lead to enquiries. This records the number you called from, the date and time, and the page or source that led to the call. We record some calls for training and monitoring purposes.

- Job and waste records: quotations, invoices, test results and waste consignment notes relating to work we carry out for you.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation (to take steps at your request before entering into a contract).
- To carry out the work you have asked for, including arranging sample testing and waste disposal (to perform our contract with you).
- To keep records required by law, such as hazardous waste consignment notes and accounting records (to comply with our legal obligations).
- To train staff, monitor service quality and understand which of our marketing works (our legitimate interests in running and improving our business).
- To use non-essential cookies on our website (with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
4. Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We only share it where needed with:
- UKAS-accredited laboratories that analyse asbestos samples.
- Licensed waste disposal sites and the Environment Agency, as required for hazardous waste consignment notes.
- Our partner builders, if you ask us to arrange reinstatement work.
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host, call tracking provider, email, analytics and messaging providers, and our accountants.
- HMRC, regulators, the police or courts, where we are required to by law.
Some of our service providers (for example Google and Meta, which runs WhatsApp) may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards required by UK data protection law.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and quotations that do not go ahead: up to 12 months.
- Customer, job and invoice records: 6 years after the work is completed, to meet tax and legal requirements.
- Hazardous waste consignment notes: at least 3 years, as required by law.
- Call recordings: only for as long as needed for training, monitoring or dealing with a complaint.
6. Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it to be transferred to someone else. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Some information, such as consignment notes, must be kept by law and cannot be deleted early. To use any of these rights, email info@safezoneasbestos.com.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before going to the ICO.
