These terms apply to all asbestos testing, removal, collection, disposal and related services provided by SafeZone Asbestos Solutions Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you, our customer. By accepting our quotation, you agree to these terms.

2. Quotations
- All quotations are free and valid for 30 days from the date issued.
- Quotations are based on the information, photos and measurements you give us and, where carried out, our site visit. If the work turns out to be different from what was described, we may need to revise the price before continuing.
- Your quotation will state whether the price includes or excludes VAT.
3. Our services
- We carry out asbestos work in line with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and HSE guidance, using UKATA-trained operatives.
- Some asbestos materials, such as most asbestos insulating board, pipe lagging and sprayed coatings, can only be removed by an HSE-licensed contractor. If we identify a material of this type, we will tell you and explain your options. We do not carry out licensable removal work.
- Asbestos samples are analysed by a UKAS-accredited laboratory. Test results relate only to the samples taken and cannot confirm that other areas of a property are free from asbestos.
- Where reinstatement or building work is carried out by one of our partner builders, this will be quoted and agreed with you separately.
4. Additional or unexpected asbestos
If we discover asbestos or other materials that were not visible or not included in our quotation, we will stop work on that area, explain what we have found and give you a revised quotation. We will only carry out the additional work once you have agreed to it.
5. Your responsibilities
- Give us safe access to the work area at the agreed time, including suitable parking where possible.
- Tell us about anything you know that may affect the work, such as previous asbestos surveys, known hazards or restricted access.
- Provide access to water and electricity where reasonably required.
- Keep children, pets and other people away from the work area while we are working.
- Clear the work area of personal belongings unless we have agreed otherwise.
6. Payment
- We do not take deposits.
- Payment is due in full on completion of the work, unless we have agreed different terms with you in writing.
- For business customers, we may charge interest on late payments under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
7. Waste and disposal
Asbestos waste is securely packaged, transported by us as a registered waste carrier and disposed of at Environment Agency licensed facilities. We will provide consignment notes as proof of legal disposal. The law requires consignment notes to record the name and address of the person producing the waste, so these details will be shared with the disposal site.
8. Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer and our contract is made away from our premises or at a distance (for example by phone, email or online), you have the right to cancel within 14 days of accepting our quotation without giving a reason. To cancel, contact us by phone or email. If you ask us to start work within the 14-day cancellation period and then cancel, you will need to pay for any work carried out up to the point of cancellation. If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment after this period, please give us as much notice as possible.
9. Our liability
- We will carry out our work with reasonable care and skill.
- We are not responsible for existing damage, defects or hidden conditions at the property that were not caused by us.
- For business customers, our total liability is limited to the price of the work, except where the law does not allow this.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please contact us at info@safezoneasbestos.com and we will do our best to put things right.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
